Due to rain over the past two days, the Sharks game tonight against Morehead City has been rained out.  The make-up date for this contest is Wednesday night June 14th at the Shark Tank.

Tickets for tonight’s matchup between the Sharks and the Marlins can be used next Wednesday for the make-up contests.  Gates will open at 5:00 P.M. on the 14th and first pitch of Game 1 will be at 6:05.  Game 2 will follow 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

CPL rules state both games will be 7 inning contests on a night where a double header is played.

The next game for the Sharks is tomorrow night, June 9th, as Wilmington will travel to Morehead City to take on the Marlins. Coverage on the Sharks Radio Network begins at 6:50 with The Sharks Pregame Show.

Wilmington next returns home to The Shark Tank Saturday night to take on the Fayetteville SwampDogs for the first time this season. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free t-shirt, commemorating 20 years of baseball in Wilmington. Gates on the will open at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday before the 7:05 first pitch.

The Coastal Plain League is the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 21st season in 2017, the CPL features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
